Dr. Farady graduated from Trinity University with a B.A. in Biology in 1980. She then attended the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where she was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society.

She graduated in 1984. She then completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. The first eleven years of her medical career were spent as a medical officer in the U.S. Navy, with assignments in San Diego, Long Beach, CA, Washington, D.C., and Charleston, S.C. She completed her dermatology residency at the University of Texas in San Antonio in 1992. She left the Navy in 1995 and returned to her hometown of Austin to start a private practice.

Dr. Farady is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Dermatologic Association, and the Austin Dermatologic Society. She served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Austin Dermatologic Society in 1999 and as president in 2000.

Dr. Farady practices general dermatology, with a special interest in cosmetic dermatology and skin care.

Dr. Farady shares a home with her husband Michael. When she is not working, she enjoys reading, writing, traveling, and tennis.

David Gonzales, L.V.N.

David has worked with Dr. Farady since 2002.  Originally from Port Aransas, he has made his home here in Austin since 1998.  He excels at patient care and education.  In his spare time, he enjoys running, playing guitar, and painting.

Meredith Edgar, Licensed Esthetician

Meredith recently moved to Austin from San Francisco, California.  She trained at the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology – A Paul Mitchell Partner School in 2008.  After obtaining her esthetician license, Meredith worked as an esthetician at Benefit Cosmetics, and then as a medical assistant/esthetician for Dr. Kathleen Welsh, one of San Francisco’s leading cosmetic dermatologists.  She is loving her new home here in Austin, and looks forward to getting to know her new patients!
